Restore Your Lost Toenail!
Have you lost a toenail because of a foot injury or an infection? Don’t worry, it doesn’t mean you have to wait for months to grow a new one, or that it is gone for good. Here at South Coast Sports Podiatry, we perform a Keryflex toenail restoration technique that will give you a new, natural-looking nail right away.
What is Keriflex Toenail Restoration?
KeryFlex is a safe, in-clinic application that restores the appearance of natural nails. The system allows for the podiatrist to remodel an individual’s nails that may be affected by fungus, a range of common foot-related defects, or injury.
Using a composite, medical-grade resin, KeryFlex application creates a flexible, non-porous nail that allows the remaining natural nail to grow out.
The KeryFlex nail is an immediate cosmetic improvement conducted to provide a natural-looking nail. It is durable and unaffected by acetone, nail polish or detergent, which means that a patient can treat it like any other natural nail on their toe – style and pedicure, preparing it for the open-toed shoes.
Who is Keryflex treatment for?
You could be an ideal candidate for Keryflex Nail Restoration if you suffer from:
- Fungal nail infection
- Nail shape changes due to trauma
- “Spoon” shaped nails
- Brittle and splitting nails
- Ridging nails
- Nail discolouration
If you are unsure whether you are the right candidate for Keryflex nail restoration, don’t hesitate to get in touch with South Coast Sports Podiatry. Our professional team will gladly schedule an appointment to check out your feet, determine the cause of the nail loss and see whether it is possible to restore it.
Our Keriflex treatment specialist will tell you in advance whether it is possible to restore the nail and what kind of results you can expect. We will also tell you anything you need to know about maintaining the nail so that it remains undamaged.
What to expect from the Keryflex treatment?
Depending on the number of toes that need to be done, the procedure takes anywhere from 40 minutes to one hour and is completely pain-free.

Who is not a good Keryflex candidate?
It must be noted that Keryflex is NOT a cure for fungal infections but only an aesthetic procedure. If you are suffering from any infections or injury-related trauma that needs to be treated, you are required to undergo adequate treatment, sometimes even prior to scheduling a Keryflex procedure.
If you suffer from peripheral vascular disease, neuropathy (numbness in the toes) or have suspicious pigmented lesions under the nail plate or ingrown toenails, then we advise strongly against having Keryflex applied to your toes. Taking all this into consideration, we recommend getting in touch with our expert who can take a look at the toenail and determine whether you are the right candidate.
